May sound like a daft question, but I have the adjustable pins from a Philadelph restoration which have gotten loose. I want to tighten them, but before I wrap my clumsy hands around pliers, I just wondered how everyone else tightens them?
I don't want to mangle my scales and have learnt from experience it's better to ask a stupid question than just set myself loose on my hobby without checking!
Well, there are little wrenches you can use and buy online for a few bucks. I forget what razor it is that you are talking about, but I'd be glad to repin it with normal pins if you want to send it to me. PM me.
If you end up doing it yourself just be a little careful. The thread is small and therefore a bit fragile, and you can easily strip them if you go too far. A bit of loctite or whatever once they are where you want can help keep them from getting loose again.

Any socket wrench that would fit size 0-80 hex head screws. There are other places online that have them too. Jimbo is right too– you can put loctite on the screw and it will hold better. Another thing you can do is just use needle nose pliers or anything that can grab and hold the hex heads to tighten them. The only problem with that is trying not to scratch the razor OR pins.Quote:
