    Default My first Japanese Razor

I bought a my first Japanese Razor. He arrived from Osaka. It was shawe for ready and was very sharp when I tried it. (Blade lenght: 42 mm, overall lenght: 150 mm, blade with: 16 mm) The salesman wrote it:
"I know just he was one of a few last razor craftsmen in Japan and passed away over 20 years. I ve seen his works in a musiam but I don't know details about him.. sorry"
I would be glad very much if you would help to identify the razor based on my pictures, maybe in somebody right knows it. I know, that is not Tosuke and not Iwasaki, but the quality as if would approach these. I do not understand the Japanese text unfortunately what there is on his box and the packaging.
    Thanks for any help!

    With kind regards, fonthunter

Looks like a great razor, much better quality than my Tosuke. But an Iwasaki looks a bit more polished. Still great find as it looks pretty unique!

I have been interested in a japanese razor for some time now but find them a bit expensive at +$350...do you mind if I ask you how much this one was? You can PM me if you prefer. Have you had previous experience shaving with Japanese razors? How would the shaving compare to Tosuke or Iwasaki? Anybody else maybe?
    Very nice razor congrats
