Very nice lookin' razor! Congrats on having it in your collection.
The biggest challenge is keeping the blade geometry correct when taking that much steel from the edge. I did hand grind with a 220 hone. I also flattened the edge until I got past the chip to make sure there was no cracks radiating from the chip. After that it was matter of setting the bevel then honing.
I've restored and honed dozens of those and they are excellent shavers. Congrats on an excellent razor!
