Someone please set things straight for me?

So I'm not sure whether this should be in the Newbies or here, but I'm putting it in here because I think a lot of people can benefit.

Can someone please clarify the line of dubl ducks for me (a very confused newbie)?
I'm mainly asking about the regular cream or black scaled ones, not the ultra fancy ones, cus there are a couple in the classifieds reasonably cheap, and a couple on ebay fairly cheap. I don't mind hone wear or looks, I just want a good shave. Is there any diff between say, a pearl duck and a satin duck? Can someone just rank the different duck blades, or at least differentiate them for me? Thanks.

There's a few collectors around here who could answer this more appropriately, but here goes anyhow:

-other than the Wonderedge, they are all the same steel. As far as I know the Wonderedge was cryotempered as an additional step, most other ducks weren't.

-pearlduck was part of the manufacturer's name progression over time. From bresnick to bresduck to pearlduck

The general consensus has been that they are all the same save the scales with the exception of the Wonderedge. However we really don't know who manufactured the individual razors. We have seen puma ducks and french ducks and a couple others so its really impossible to say with certainty that they really are all the same.

In the end they all shave very good and are easily maintained so you can't go wrong no matter which you buy.

If you go back to the first ones under bresnick there are probably too many individual ones to mention. Many of those were not ducks then came the first ones and the single ducks and the twin ducks and then the doubles. It gets complicated. The special #1 was probably the most popular and that's the one you see most often.

So if someone would be kind enough to check out the two in the classifieds and suggest which of those two is better, and then when compared to a similar condition special #1, which of the three si better?

I'm probably not the right guy to help but just can't help myself (shameless I know). Of the two I have for sale my only advice is to choose the one with the least hone wear as it will give you longer service. They both shaved equally well I just needed to make some room for new additions.
