Default Torrey "Our 136", High hopes.

I got this one off the Bay for a bit more than I thought it was worth, and it has sat at my mother's house in Kansas until finally she had a package to send (Little Debbie brownies...YUUUUM!).

But now that it's in my hands, I'm quite pleased. It's a sweet little shoulderless 5/8--it has been honed once, maybe--the bevel is TINY, and the honewear minimal. It's spotty, but it is cleaning up easy and clean.

The scales are a mystery--their texture appears to be of a synthetic, but the staining looks almost like bone or ivory.

When I get done with this one, I have hopes that it will be gorgeous...

Jim these are some fantastic little shavers I have actually restored two of these for some of the guys here and both of them gave superior shaves when they were done....

Torrey is one of those real solid American steel companies out there, IIRC it was the largest American Razor company gotta check that little factoid but I think I am right....

Thanks guys. Torrey was high on the list of American makers to look out for--this is actually my second, I'm still learning to hone on the first.

    Man, I love shoulderless razors...

And sorry Al, those brownies are MINE!!!!

Very nice! I have one and shave with it on a fairly regular basis - the Torrey's are great shavers!

Except for the washer thingy at the butt end I don’t see any issues... looks cute too.
