Longest I have is 3 1/4 and I have to pay attention to avoid slicing my ear or nostril. :)
This ugly brute is 3" 3/8ths. It was slightly longer before the postman dropped it. Haven't been able to face doing anything with it yet!
It's not the length that matters. It's how well you use it. ;)
I have a Chandler Wootz with a 3.25" blade, an extended shank and a spike point. Think pure thoughts, plan your strokes or pay with blood. Did I mention that this particular razor is at least as sharp as a Feather?
What a shaver!
That's a big un Sham.
One of my John Barber's has a 3.25" cutting length.
Where have the photo's gone? I'll post mine again.
Got a 3.25 W&B blade that I'm cleaning up now and will put into some horn scales later this month. It's a frameback (haven't seen any W&B framebacks) and it seems to be in darned near perfect shape. Hopefully after I get her a little cleaner and scaled, it'll hone up to a nice shaver. I am a little concerned that I may slice my ear lobes a bit until I get used to it. As soon as it's scaled I'll post some pics of her. I think she may slide into that most favorite slot.
How about small cheating? ";" :)

It certainly does. Hold on a sec. I'll find my longest razor. I think its my Fontenille. She's at least 3 inches. Unfortunately My laptop webcam is not the easiest thing to take a picture of a ruler and a razor lined up nicely with. The McQueen in the other thread is about 3.1ish inches though.
Almost 3.5 to the tang, nearly 6.5 to the end of the monkey tail in a 8/8.
Two things cannon, first what material is that on the scales, and second, while I'm off topic, your sig line is amazing cannon!
Sorry cannon, that's a 3" cutting edge. My Wm Greaves & Sons is just over 3" too, Sham. I don't have any problem with it because it's a smiler. I'm beginning to think a 5" blade would be just fine as long as it has a nice smile on it. :D

Still off topic but now I know exactly what wood to put my Sheffield blades in thanks!
Hi Bud Gl,
I was very surprise seeing your razor picture. I am from Belgium and I have exactly the same razor coming from either my grand father or great grand father. Mine has been made by JB Lemiere in Brussels but the blade is exactly the same.
On your I can see HUY. Huy is a town in Belgium so I believe your razor comes from Belgium too. Do you know anything about it ? When it was built ... ? I had mine restored by RupRazor. Just interested about any information you might have on the razor. Thanks
