WEDGEWAY, not WEDGEWOOD ( scans )
I was asking anyone in chat who would listen if they ever heard of wedgewood razors and if they were, as I had heard sometime back, a C-MON incognito Lynn said he had never heard of wedgewood razors but if it was a C-MON of old it should be a great shaver. Well, sorry Lynn as I meant wedgeway, not wedgewood:gaah: But here is the thread I promised to Lynn anyways.
This one is a 5/8's shoulderless grind with french ivory carved scales ( Fake ivory ) with a black celluloid wedge which contrasts really nice with the scales. The blade says wedgewood and on one side of the tang it reads: "army 3/t navy" and below that "trademark". On the other side of the tang it reads: "wedgeway cutlery co." and below that "1122 1/2" . The metal appears to be blued but not to the extreme. I discovered that wedgeway cutlery co. put out cutlery from 1887 to 1933 and was a trademark of the Morely Bros. but I still dont know if it is a C-MON incognito yet. If anyone can answer my question I would appreciate it.
