I've got a few of these but one is quite a bit larger in all aspects. Wouldn't they just give it a different name?

I had exactly the the same story :) you will find all the answers there..
Thanks, I'm however not sure as this size difference seems quite a bit bigger than the 2 razors you referred to. I guess it's just a different size although they both look to be 6/8's or so
I have the exact same DD as the one on the left (with transparent scales).
Question - is that one a Pearl Duck by any chance? I believe Pearl Duck was the registered "U.S. Patent of" Dubl Duck, and might acount for the differences of the same model.
But then again you might want to wait for a Duck expert to chime in with the full story.
Hmmmm... Now I'm interested too:hmmm:
They made pretty much all of them in different sizes some with round points and some with spikes. Some are more common than others so the rarer ones don't get as much exposure.
pearlduck was the name of the company once Mr Pearlson took it over in the 1950s as I recall. Doubleduck (Dubleduck) was the name the razors were sold under. The company goes back before WWll when bresnick owned it and before he used the DD logo.
I do believe you're on to something there...
