I found this Gotta razor at a swap meet recently for $18AUD (about $16USD). Just wondering how i could get rid of the surface rust on the blade.

. . .
The rust doesn't look too bad. Here is a link to a WIKI page on hand sanding a razor. I've done it on more than one and even though it takes some time you can make it look great.

Time always seems to be an essential element, whenever anyone ever has a question about rust removal.
I wonder if anyone has tried a rust transforming liquid, does it work?
well it could, but you won't like the result.
Rust leaves pits and if you only remove the rust, as opposed to sanding the entire surface, there will be deeper pits.
Start with a 800 grit paper.
Thats high, but saves on work sanding out the scratches from the lower grits.
