Difference in Bokers
Gentlemen,
Would you kindly explain the difference between the Boker "Edelweise" and the Boker "King Cutter"?
I am curious particularly about the new ones. Are there major differences in these two razors or are they the same razor but in different clothing?
If you experts can also discuss the old Bokers, I am eager to learn.
Many thanks.
Regards,
Obie

It does just look like different clothing - scale material and blade etching.
I got one of the new King Cutters for $99.95 plus shipping.
Very nice shaver.
Heard that they are made by Dovo.
I do recommend and personally like it.

I believe they are made by Boker with Wacker assistance. No Dovo connection I've heard of.
-
These are NOT made by Dovo they are made by Boker with Wacker overseeing the grinding processes. If you are interested in learning more about Bokers I highly suggest you peruse the boker Brotherhood thread.

?
Ya, I can't say for sure what I was told, it was by one of the old masters around here.
And then again, I may be thinking of something else.
For the price it's a pretty good deal.
"Why? Oh why, didn't I take the blue pill?"

Here is a link to a video of Boker razors being produced.... by Boker , :)

One says King Kutter and has plastic scales and the other says Edleweiss and has bone scales.

Difference in Bokers
Gentlemen,
Thank you for explaining the difference in the two Bokers. I had a feeling the difference was only cosmetic.
As John points out, the "Edelweise" has bone scales and the "King Cutter" plastic. That and the difference in etching on the blade confirm my suspicion.
Either way, I have the "Edelweise" and love it.

Obie
