Filarmonica 13
Can someone explain the difference between:
Filarmonica Sello Oro 13 BLACK BOX
Filarmonica Doble Temple 13 WHITE BOX
It looks to me like the black box Sello Oro is the older model? Also on the Sello Oro there is no stamp with 'Jose Monserrat Pou'. The Sello Oro does not appear to have jimpwok on the tang whereas the white box one does.
I would welcome clarification of the above from an experienced Filie fanatic!

I'm not a Filly expert, but if those are link's, they aren't activated.

Welcome to SRP. I can't answer your question but here is the Filly razor club on SRP which has quite a few photos of Fillys. You may see something in there that will answer your query. Here is the razor data base in the SRP Wiki with more photos. :tu

I believe the Double Temple's were double tempered (though I can't remember what effect that has on the steel). The other one may or may not be double tempered as well...

Today I finally recived my sello oro, so I can try to answer the question- sello oro is: about 1 inch longer, blade is wider- rather like 7/8 not 6/8, remarcably heavier. To me looks like made of different steel.Normally I need about 10 minutes for honing and stropping of 6/8 with sello oro I spent about 30 minutes before archived desirable sharpness- the steel is hard and not "willing".Shaving quality- no difference the some comfy smooth shave, due to bigger size was slightly more difficut, but so far that's the biggest razor which I used .

the sello oros look like the classic shaving version. my classic shaving fily 13 is 7/8 plus. My regular NOS Fily 13 is 6/8.
