So I went to Excalibur and picked up one of their recommended starter razors. I was previously using a fromm disposable straight razor. Well now that I am joining the community I wanted to find out other peoples opinion of the quality of said razor. It has no real branding, but the guys at excalibur say its made by the same people who make dovo (yea right) so i will leave it to you weathered vets to help identify and critique the quality.
I guess due to a clause if it were a crap knock off it would have to say assembled in germany. I read something along those lines
If I'm not mistaken, those actually are made by Dovo. They are just sold as cheap, unbranded blades to keep cost down...
Provided they are the same ones Martin sells.
Wow, I tried finding anything on the web that would lead to a dealer of semi unmarked razors to no success. well it will be a nice starter piece to a collection, soon to be followed by one of Dylan's pieces

From all accounts, they make a great low cost entry razor. All of the shaving performance and none of the expensive frills like gold wash or fancy scales or etching. Just a good plain workhorse.
Awesome, you folks are a wealth of knowledge. And here is the actual razor itself on the site. The same razor I am using and as it says, it shaves great, nice to get my feet wet with good equipment. :chop:
