Help About Straight Dimensions..

Dear Friends
would you please explain to me straight razor dimensions meaning.. or sent me useful link about that point. i see many of straight razor also i have some straight razors but i dont classify their model or dimensions.. for example what is 7/8 ?

i believe that 7/8 is 7/8 of one inch and 8/8 would be well 8/8 of an inch which is 1 inch wide someone correct me if i have this all wrong as well

Measure the width of the blade, from the spine to the edge.

thes numbers are fractions of inch 1/2=4/8, so it is real easy get a tape measure and they are on them.
