Any information is welcome. The first one says BOCKLA on the scales with the two rams head. On the tang the two rams image again and the numbers 218 then on the other side of the tang it say's HUCO HERBERTZ SOLINGEN MERSCHEID.
The next one has on the tang BOSTWICK-BRAUN Co. TOLEDO,O.GERMANY on the other side of the tang it says TOLEDO BLADE and has an image of a saber.
Top one is a boker king cutter the blade has a smile and is really worn near the head of the blade. it says H. BOKER &Co. on the tang and it says sunday along the back.
The black one says CHALLENGE CUTLERY Co BRIDGEPORT. CONN
Challenge Cutlery Co., 1867 -1928, well known company with large history. This firm traces its origins back to Sheffield. In 1889, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The B.J.Eyre Company used the trademark "Challenge" also.

Thank you very much. I had spent some time already researching the callenge and found the dates of manufacture. The boker I know I had read a little about. And I know they are a common topic here. The bockla I couldn't find anything on nor the Toledo.
Do you think the boker is worth messing with? The blade looks to be worn pretty far. I'll get the good camera out and post better pics so perhaps you can give judgements on condition and value. Thank you once again.
I'm really curious about the 218 on the bockla there is not a whole lot of room for writing stuff on the steel so it seems that whenever something is on there it’s important and they really want to communicate that to you with or without the scales.
Found this on the bostwick Braun co http://www.bostwick-braun.com/html/hist/hist2.htm I am still very confused as to why the tang would say Toledo and Germany. The Bostwick Braun co is in Toledo Ohio. This is from the link "In 1866, Carl F. Braun joined Roff & Co. after emigrating from Germany in 1843." So I gather the blade was not made in Spain. And it was probably not made in Germany? I imagine I'll have to get it sharpened and stropped to see how it does. I feel somewhat disillusioned by this information though it seems like they were trying to connect their product with places renowned for their steel quality without making clear that the connections the blade has to those places was kind of vague and irrelevant to its properties.
"Bockla" was made in Solingen, Germany.

I suppose what’s the significance of 218 on the steel is a question kind of like how many licks to the center of a tootsie pop. we may never know so I will pretend it means aldehyde dehydrogenase which is a gene form the human genome. That came up under a Google search for 218 also Known as ALDH3A1 "which may protect corneal epithelial cells against oxidative damage not only through its metabolic function but also by prolonging the cell cycle" so that’s cool right. Or the numbers add up to eleven and I think we all know what that means or. I don’t think I'll post better pics as there is very little interest in this thread which is understandable. I was just really excited after acquiring them.:beer2:
