HELP! Information on Joseph Rodgers for Christmas gift

I have looked all over the site and think that I have this SR narrowed down to 1875-1900, but would like to get as much information from you guys as possible, including the scales. I took this SR apart, cleaned it up, and honed it (shaves quite well I might add). It had a bad frown in the edge & took forever to get it out. Now I plan on a alcohol dip, final stropping, final clean, a touch of Renaissance wax, and gift wrapping it for for a good friend.

Could any and all of you please give me as much information about this SR as possible so that I can compile it & include it with the SR for his Christmas gift. He's close the taking the SR plunge & I think that this SR, along with the history (he loves antiques) will push him over the proverbial straight edge.

Thank you, however I had gotten all of the stuff I could off the Wiki & the pdf, there's one that is close to this one...just not anything specific.

Your razor was made sometime between 1870 and 1891. It can be no earlier than 1870 because that is when they started using celluloid for razor handles - those are celluloid. It can not be from after 1891 because the Madrid Trade Accords required the country of origion as well as the city to be on the razor. This was agreed to so their trade mark would be protected internationally.

The handle isn't original. Three pins and the pins form. IMHO.

Aftter reading your post I took a second look and Manah is correct. I think these handles are actually off of a German made razor. But the blade is definately 1891 or earlier.

I have seen 3 Beau Brummel's with these exact scales. I have not seen other razors with them. Thus I concur.
