Just cleaned and sanded this razor, the scales are blond horn and vroke at the pivot when I removed them. Had to research this maker and I belive its Frederick Joseph Smith who worked in Birmingham and Sheffield but possibley began in Birmingham. Im thinking this is 1830's -40's not sure the razoe it self is not finnished well, the stabilizers are differnt shapes one is square the other a bit concave. anyone else know antything about the maker or this razors age?

This razor was made by Frederick John Smith. I couldn't find info about his work in Sheffield, his name is not listed in 'The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire'.
But it's possible, that the razor was made in 1830's -40's. According Guide: Cast Steel marking till 1840 and Manufactureres markings since 1830.
