George Wostenholm Info?

I have been trying to find some info on some razors that I saw today. I am pretty sure that they were branded as george wostenholm & sons, with N50 perpendicular to the stamp on the blade. No etching on the blade, can't remember if it was listed as IXL, no pipe stamping either. The man who I had spoken to had seven of them, all in the same condition, even wear on all blades. Only one has damage to the scales, as the pivot is cracked off of one side. The one with the cracked scale is also a round point rather than a spare, and is the only one that is odd out of the bunch. I held it against the other blades, and it seemed to be the original point as it was not shorter than the other blades. I was in a bit of a hurry when looking at them, and did not have my phone in my pocket at the time. I can get them for about $20 per razor. If I make him an offer on the lot, I am sure that he will drop a bit. They are relatively shiny and have very little rust or scratching on the blades. I am not sure of their age, and can't really find out anything about them. They feel good in my hand, and seem to be really solid. Should I jump on them?

As many as I can find! I am sure that I can use a few just to learn honing and stropping with, and maybe get off of a few on the board. But at 20 bucks per razor, I really can't pass it up. I also saw that he had a Genco and an Electric (i think) for the same price. Two old strops with canvas strips that can be salvaged as well for $10 apiece. Just happened to drop in on this guy, lives a few houses away from my wife's grandparents. Had a few other razors that I didn't recognize, and a wedge with "the old english razor" on the scales and at some point there was etching on the blade, but I can;t tell what it is. I think that it has "cast steel" on the tang as well, and has a barber's notch. Not sure about that one. Cast? I dunno. Any good?

I really like Wosty's. I'd say buy as many as you can afford, and if you don't want them all, you can always put them up on the classifieds.

I think that I am going to grab at least one of them today, post some pics and see what the concensus is. They are not going anywhere, so I have a bit of time I think. Just want to make sure that they are going to be up to snuff before I buy all of them. I think that they are going to be pretty solid, although I have nothing to judge them against! :)
