Preventing blades from rusting

I've just recently started shaving with straight razor. I've bought Wapi for starters.
Since Wapi is all steel, including scales it's problematic to dry it right and prevent from rusting. I've came with an idea to store my razor in a container filled with some liquid.
And here's come the question is there anything that will do the job?
My first thought was surgical spirit. But when I've looked at the solution it wasn't so obvious anymore, 2% salicylic acid, 68% ethanol, and 30% water. I'm not a chemist but I don't suposse water will do anything good.
Second thought was rectifed spirit, it's 96% ethanol and 4% water. It still has water but I suposse way less than humid in my bathroom.
I thought also about parraffin, aceton, isopropyl alcohol and of course all kind of oils.
Is there anything that will do the trick?

I recently hone a Wapi withthe steel scales and here are my thoughts. I would treat it like any other razor. I would oil around the pivot and wedge area (since the Wapi is steel) and store it outside the bathroom. Dry the blade and give it a few strop laps after shaving and take it out of the bathroom. You can store it in you bedroom and oil it completely once every 1-2 weeks. I rarely oil any of mine except around the pivot and I have found so long as I oil them once a month, I rarely notice rust.
I also sand off and polish any rust I see when specks pop up, and then re-oil it. This is only my opinion and many others here will probably have better advice.

I have a pretty big rotation so for me oiling is a must and I prefer Sterol though I've also used Sentry Solutions and Russells no rust. You just don't want to use something that's ain't good for your skin like 3 in 1 oil.

If you only have a couple of razors you probably don't need to use anything. Just make sure it's totally dry before putting it up and is stored in a relatively dry environment. Of course if your really anal about this stuff you would oil them anyway.
