Thanks for posting this mate

Thanks for posting this. I love the feather razor. I think you highlight all the appropriate things.
I learned something watching the videos suggested after yours as well. At about 3:55 in this video he talks about reloading the blade and what the notch in the loader is for.

This is something that most people wouldn't know and wasn't entirely clear to me.

You are welcome guys.
Yes the other video shows how the blade goes directly into the knife, which is just so freaking cool. :)
Good Videos. I have the Diane 21, Shavette, and Feather DX. All shave very well with the Feather being the most refined. However, you really pay big $$$ for the feather.
Although the Feather blade lasts another shave or two longer than the others, I don't like using any disposable blades after the 3rd or 4th shave as I always demand an outstanding BBS shave from the straight razor. I always keep my fixed razors in top shape and ready to shave. So the appeal of the disposables start loose their effectiveness after the 3rd shave.
They come in handy when I travel and I never worry about "chipping" the edge as they are replaceable and they are handy as loaners to friends who want to try straight shaving. Plus, the stainless steel gives me less worries than my carbon steel blades when it come to maintenance and care.
Of the three, the Feather is the one I show off the most to my friends, but I like the bang for the buck with the Diane 21 and Shavette. I think Feather makes a cheaper scale version which may sway more people to buy it.
I have fun with all of them and although they get some straight shaving action, my fixed razors are still the work horses.
