That seems reasonable about the Bow - could be multiple factors contributed, of course. Very interesting - and useful - about the 1891 treaty. Were all releveant countries parety to the accord (i.e. Sweden, Germany, USA, France) as well? Also - and I'm quite interested in this stuff, partly because I study British history and political theory, you mention 1889 IIRC above and 1891 Madrid here? Just curious so I can track down more info on it. Much appreciated, Jimmy.
