Err...That's kind of what I was implying. He is saying that these razors are legally stamped "Solingen" because of a "loophole". I'm saying, no, there is no loophole, they are not legally stamped Solingen.

Ahhh, gotcha. I guess I didn't read carefully enough... I react a little strongly to this because I have read a few threads where people talked as though the law guaranteed the mark... and was somehow also of universal jurisdiction. I see what you're saying now, though.

As the law quoted in JimmyHAD's link says, "Made in Solingen" MUST mean manufactured, not just assembled. If a razor is made in Pakistan and "assembled" in Soligen, any Solingen stamp is going to be breaking the law.

I would only buy from a reputable dealer anyway. These days I just don't trust any price that is "too good to be true" when found on the internet.
