Toothpaste Works
Last night I pulled out a razor that I know is prone to very fast corrosion, I mean this thing was getting yellowish spots while I was wet n dry sanding it.
I used it a few days ago and as I'm currently 341 miles from my tools and equipment I didnt have any oil to use on it. there was one tiny black spot in the middle of the blade and some nasty yellow discolouration on the
shoulders.
I happened to have some 1500 and 2000 grit in my bag (doesn't everybody) which took care of the spot. I then polished that area and the shoulders with toothpaste. The blade was back to its mirror finish, and I picked up some oil today to keep it that way.
This is not an original idea, I've seen it mentioned here before, but for anyone who hasnt heard of using toothpaste as polish It could come in handy.

Toothpaste works great. It has some secret ingredients in it.

you can polish plastic with toothpaste too, its how I used to polish my cell phone screen when I was careless back in the day.
