Went to the antique stores today and ran into this guy. A 5/8 W&B near wedge. Interesting thing was that this guy looks like it was customized over 100 years ago! The owner many generations ago seemed to like this razor and kept it going using his customizations.

This post reminded me of one of hoglahoo's razors that he sent me to do some work on.
The scales had been trashed and cracked in the pivot area, but, the cleverness of one individual prevailed.. he took two strips of tin from an old tin box, and wrapped each scale at the pivot with it, and punched a hole through them.
unfortunately they were about falling apart when I got them, but, you can see the pieces of tin in this pic:
