Any Information

Hello, I am new to straight shaving. The amount information I have found on this site has been very helpful. I found what looked to me like a couple of nice razors at an antique store. I was really excited to find out if what I bought was a good brand or not. The only problem is that I have not found any information on the internet about these razors. Does any one know any info about them? I only photographed one of them because they are the same.

The box says "Prior" Razor Works Merscheid-Solingen made in germany Selected Quality.

The tang says the same.

I don't know that particular maker but back in 'the day' there were many of them In Solingen. In general a vintage Solingen razor is a good one. Here are the SRP classifieds where you can find someone qualified to hone it to shave ready. Check out the link in my sig for more info. :gl:
