I'm probably way off base, but the trade mark symbol on the tang stamp sure looks like this blue diamond symbol to me.

I've got no idea but looking at what part of the blade is visible I hope the pitting isn't as bad along the rest of the edge.

    That's Grah & Plühmacher.
Looks pretty rusty along the edge though, it could be unfixable.

Yeah it looks a little rough. I should be able to salvage it though. gugi you said Grah & Plühmacher?? that sounds german to me. If that is the case what is with the italian name and saying palermo on the razor? what is the connection? thanks.

This logo "tuning fork " isn't so simple.
I've tried to find correct info about this logo many times. But nothing concretely.
"Silver Ring" with tuning fork were used by Max Breuer and Grah & Plümacher.
"Blue diamond" with tuning fork were used by Norvell-Shapleigh, Grah & Plümacher and S.R. Droescher.
So, difficult to say, who made this razor.

Don't know about the manufacturer, but those scales may be genuine tortoise , based on their dark mottled color and how the crack does not look like celluloid. Not dyed horn, for sure.

Probably the Italian company was just a retailer who sold the razor.
