Anyone heard of manufacturer J Schmid?

I just picked up a razor at a flea market, and haven't been able to find any information on the manufacturer online. The razor is marked "J Schmid" on one line, "Luzern" beneath that. To the left, there's the mark "101"

I found information on J & M Schmid online, but there's no "M" here. The scales are black, and have the smell of vulcanized rubber. Don't have a clue about the manufacture date or anything.

The blade needed a little work - some nicks, etc. But a few minutes of TLC fixed it right up, and it's a decent shaver now. I now have nearly an order of magnitude more functional straight razors than I have faces to shave with them... They keep following me home...:)

Pictures help.
Often the maker mark combined with
the country stamp and shape of the tang,
jimps etc. tells lots.

Many razors were made to be branded for local
sale at hardware stores or as commeratives.

Yes, the picture will be helpful.
Possibly, the razor was made by John M.Schmid, Providence, Rhode Island, 1871 - 1964.
