Monkhouse identification help?

So I have been eying this Carl Monkhouse at a nearby antique place for a bit and was wondering if anyone could help identify it. It is a beautiful piece and the only thing wrong with it is that the scales have warped a little, though it still closes on center.

Carl Monkhouse is the namesake of C-Mon razors, this is top of the line and I have been wanting and looking for one for quite some time. You sir have just been blessed! If the price is right snatch it up, if it is not your cup of tea please let me know where it is, by PM of course.

If the price was that $295 I saw in the lower left hand corner I would say wish the seller luck and get out of there as quick as you can. Nice razor but at a third or less if I was doing the buying. :thinking:

That price is for the marble pedestal I placed it on for the photo :P

Not really options for me as I ride a bike, rent and live on my own. The self-control is largely due to being unemployed right now too :P

Actually, if you do pick up that razor, I'm very curious how she does. I have a very similar one in quarter hollow that is in need of restoration.

Here's an SOTD photo of mine (07/05/2008): I call it "Blue Star", but there is no "formal" name or symbol associated with it. The blade is 11/16. The scales are also different; certainly insofar as they lack the "Carl Monkhouse" inlay, which yours has. Mine takes and holds an edge very well, and is a great shaver.

Yours is also a much stiffer grind. Here's one that was recently sold on ebay (in the ballpark of the marble pedestal price too):
