I recently had a razor passed down to me. Now I am trying to figure out any history about this razor.
It has marking for JBF Champlin's. It doesn't have the "& Sons" on it. The other side of the blade says "Made in Germany"
What I have found researching this so far, is that the company was in New York 1882-1886. And was called JBF Champlin & Sons.
So now I wonder how a blade marked "Made in Germany" on 1 side is from a company in New York??:banghead:
Any insight on this would appreciated. And feel free to correct any of the info that I put together above.
Thank you.
