Looking for help identifying Swiss razor.

I just got this razor from my Swiss relatives. Now I am trying to find out more about it. All I know is that it was purchased in Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland. This is also stamped on the tang: Ch. Kaelin, Chaux-de-Fonds. So far, my search on the internet has not brought any results.
My question: does anybody know of this manufacturer or anything about this razor, like age or value? The blade appears to be 4/8 with 5 5/8” overall length.
Should I attempt to restore it or is it best left as is. After an initial honing the edge is now perfect and gives a very nice, smooth shave. The blade has some rust issues. I am also wondering if the scales are plastic or ivory. How can one tell?

The scales are definitely synthetic, not ivory. I don't know anything else about it, though.

It is possible it's a French blade that was sent to Switzerland, but that's just one theory.

A French blade? That would make sense. Chaux-de-Fonds is located in Neuchâtel, the French speaking part of Switzerland.

Any guesses as to the age?

Can't tell you age but I think its really cool such a narrow blade is heavily etched "For the strongest beard"

I'd guess late 1800's. Looks like a fairly modern tail, but no country of origin stamp.
