I would like to know if there are any really good performing razors that have the word Diamond on the Tang. Any info or photos would be appreciated.

do an ebay search for 'diamond razor' and you'll notice several.

What's the motivations? Did you tell SWMBO that you would get her a diamond? :)

Love my Black Diamond spike point. It takes an awesome sharp edge and gives a great shave.

I have this razor sold by the Diamond Razor Co. of Chicago. It says Diamond Razor Co. on the tang, but there is no country of origin which leads me to believe it is an American made blade. According to Goins' Encyclopedia there was a company by that name operating between 1901 and 1904. This is a 4/8 French point. Since my preference is for larger blades, I have never shaved with this one.

Here is a Black Diamond that I picked up last weekend at an antique shop for short money. I cracked the scale trying to rub the price tag off of it just before I took the pictures. :banghead:

Bresnick had a Black Diamond model. A very nice shaver. I think I have a picture of it up in the razor clubs for DD's.

Dovo made a whole series of vintage razors that said Diamond Steel on them.

I have a SR Droescher Blue Diamond and is says Blue Diamond on the tang and it it a killer shaver!!

EDIT: I just checked it, it doesn't say Dovo anywhere. It actually says "DIAMOND STEEL" on one side and the other side says International Cutlery Company, Solingen, Germany
