5/8 to 6/8 !?!?!?
I have been using a Dovo 5/8 since I started shaving and have received some really nice shaves, no BBS shaves but still. Yesterday I purchased a Dovo 6/8 from ClasicShaving.com.
I am curious, from experience, what are the pro's and con's of using a 6/8 razor. I know the size and weight are going to be something to get use to, but what about experience shaving with?
Does the weight of the razor make it:
Easier?
Harder?
Thoughts?

I really don't think it makes much of a difference, other than it'll feel a little different in your hand. Maybe more inertia will be to your liking, or maybe not.

Anything from 5/8 to 7/8 shaves pretty similar to me, assuming the grind is similar.
On the other hand, different grinds really make for different shaves for me .

I like em all but I think the 6/8s is the ideal size for a razor. I think they look the best and feel the best and shave the best. My opinion of course.

I started with a 6/8 and later got a 5/8. the only differences I noticed was that it was easier to shave my upper lip with a 5/8, but on the other hand I don't have to rinse the 6/8 as much because it holds more cream.

I use 5 and 6/8 interchanging all the time there is not much difference. It's not like you pick up the 6/8 and shave and your arm gets tired. Relax and enjoy you'll find they both shave great.
