Need Help with information on this W&B

I bought this razor in a West Palm Beach antiques shop back in the early 90's. I was attracted then to the etching on the blade, and haven't seen another like this since. What can anyone tell me about this one? Age, history, maybe the worth of it? I recall it was $75.00 in 1993, and it was the most I've ever spent on a razor ever at the time. Most of the larger style 'meat cutters' back then weren't as popular as they are today, not that the blade is as big as some I've seen, but it's pretty hefty. (Oh excuse the amatuer photography).

Wow, that is beautiful. I've never seen that one before, and I'm pretty sure it's worth a lot more than $75, unless of course you're trying to selling it somewhere that still refers to the Civil War as the War of Northern Aggression.

We don't do valuations here. As for the age, I'd guess 1860's to 1880's, though maybe the frost is throwing me off.

I'm okay with not getting a valuation, but the date range seems about right. So Civil War and up. Did they make these with the thumb grip cut in the tangs often?
