+1 on that. I have not had somebody else hone a razor for me in about 9 months. It was nice to have work of this quality again to compare where I have gotten in my honing skills.

For the curious, the razors were a 3 day set of A. Kastors in Smoke-n-Ash acrylics...The honing progression was Norton 1-4-8-B/G Escher-15 laps on CeOx and linen/leather stropping... Much of the smoothness of the edge goes to those old farts that made the razors in the first place though

Hmmm...I'm thinking maybe I should break one of my razors, let it rust a little, then send it to Glen to be restored and honed!

    What an experience!

Whatever I have been doing to keep my razors sharp,
simply pales in comparision to what Glen is doing.

To experience the sharpness and smoothness of one
of his razors is a humbling experience.

    I'm impressed!

Default 'Takes little prompting to sing Glen's praises

Each post, pic or output of his work is sufficient to chime in. One of these days, I want to try one of the Escher finishes from him. 'Tried the shapton.

To anyone reading, The gunner's work is about as good as it gets - don't hesitate to work w/ him.

Yes, I have just arranged for a W&B "For Barber's Use" that I got on ebay to be sent to him for a restoration. I am very excited.

"You betcha" to what's been said. Glen restored a big fat W&B for me and it has an awesome edge. He's got a Mappin of mine now in his shop and it has always been a great shaver. I expect it will be a quantum leap better after his magic.

+1 - Glen restored 2 W&B's for my wife and me, both became our regulars! Top Notch all the way! And like what was said previously, mine came with perfect honing!

    Thanks again, Glen!
