Since it really is all about the edge, I have wondered if all of Dylan's razors are his "best shavers"... :)

The thing that caught me about your post is the quote above. Sounds to me like you enjoy the shave a frameback gives more than any other type of grind. Anytime you buy a hollow grind or a wedge, etc. it may not meet up to your expectations just because of your grind preference, no matter how beautiful it is.
Plus 1 100%
and to add to that, once you narrow in on a type of grind, then you narrow in on a Country of origin, or a manufacturer, or a steel and a size :)
Pretty soon you start to target those types of razors for your collection of BEST of the BEST :D
That is not to say you won't enjoy other razors, but they probably won't measure up to your favs...
Looks and smarts don't always go together. The advantage with a razor is that you should be able to turn a razor into a great shaving one.
Yes there are some that just exhibit the right combination of attributes to make them stand out and unfortunately they aren't always the favorite or most handsome in the pack.
(Not that it would apply to most of the folks in this thread, but)
...it should be mentioned that thinking one razor is better than another only really makes sense after you can hone most/all of your razors to a great edge. Until that point is reached, you're just comparing the "hone-friendliness" of different razors and how they match up to your own honing abilities.
Also, it's been my experience that the above overrides any other considerations, such as grind, etc. In other words, you may think you like large wedges better, or medium full-hollows, but if your skill set makes you better at honing one particular razor (or kind of razor) for whatever reason, it will likely end up being your best shaver, regardless.
