A shot in the dark here, anyone ever seen this logo?

first picture was taken off a razor's box, not the best quality but recognizable
second picture logo was stamped on the razor itself

could date back to around the 1900's

Could be Graef and Schmidt. They used a logo of a similar looking gentleman, though not exactly the same.

Aha, I've been doing some research
Afaik, looks like graef and schmidt did not manufacture razors but bought razors from different razor manufacturers and sold them

explains why I've seen JA henkcels with graef and schmidt stamped onto it

It looks like this Gold Mandarin to me. What do you think? I borrowed these pics from a post by THE BIG SPENDER in those Daffy Ducks thread. I hope its not a NO NO! Is this a Dubl Duck? If it walks like a duck and Quacks like duck and shaves like a duck. It must be a duck. Hope this helps.

i have one at home,,with a chinese man's head on it,,it says mandarin somewhere but i dont remember if it was on the tang or on the box,,once i get home i'll check it out

There was a razor sold in the old days called Gold mandarin which had nothing to do with Bresnick. I don't know if the ones he sold were just his retail sales of that razor or not. I suspect it is the same razor since the logo is the same.
