It's a bird, it's a plane it's a ?

My friend in Japan sent me this. he said it was a kamisori for the little people but I think he was pulling my leg. It's asymmetric but not quite like a Kamisori and no I didn't try shaving with it. maybe someone can translate the text or figure out what this is.

I do not know the translation, but this is a pocket knife called Higonokami.

The bottom 3 characters spell 'knife'
Don't know the kanji.

I've seen them here before. They are pocket knives. IIRC Mark (JMS) has one too.
