I picked this up today. Looks really old. Great smile and patina. I could not find any info on WM.OLMSTED. There is also a number 1 stamped into the tang.

I have heard of them but don't know anything about them other than it's a first rate razor.
With a smile like that you'll be doing some fancy hone strokes to hone up that baby.
Thats a looker!! Love the overall shape of that one! Congrats.
Nothing in Goins' on Wm. Olmstead. Nice looking swayback! With that stubby tang, has to be around 1830 vintage, IMO. Hope it has a well tempered edge that holds it's sharpness when honed, as many very old razors don't for long. Great find.
Thank you guys.
Nothing in Doyle's Collecting Straight Razors either although the name rings a bell. Not sure if the bell is razor related though. Nice piece. Love those smiling blades. :)
