I'm curious what brand this razor is. It only has markings on the one side and it is partially worn off. Certainly someone recognizes it.

OK, here's a couple better pics. What I see is:
Top: An acorn top or crown of some sort.
Middle: An 'S' followed by a heart with possibly a '13' in it. I'm guessing there should be another letter on the other side of the heart.
Bottom: The letters THI then a partial letter could be B,E,F,P,or R.
Initially I was thinking THIERS, but now I'm thinking it could have said THIRTEEN, based on the numbers in the heart. But I'm not sure that all those letters would fit.
Do you see the same thing I am seeing?

The crown looks like German. But I can't say for sure.
I couldn't find the similar logo.
Thiers seems like it would fit. French looking , but I couldn't see a crown and heart in this list of French cutlery marques.

I was going to say thierrs too but after you said 13 it leaves me wondering. Thierrs had a crown marquee though didn't they?
Sooner or later someone may come along who has the same brand of razor but with a more complete tang stamping. Until then I guess it must remain a mystery.
Hey guys. Wanted to bump my old post to see if anyone else has any idea as to what this razor is.
Definately a french razor, The maker was Marius Solviche, from Thiers, France. The trademark on your razor was registered in 1916, there a no other registration from this maker, that said your razor could very well be quite rare.

So, what shape is the rest of the blade in and what do you plan on doing now that you know the make?
It's in ok shape, not great. It's going to take some work to get it shave ready. And I really haven't begun honing yet, so it'll take a while, but eventually I'll be using it.
