    Default Info about this razor?

I inherited my great grandfather's straight razor, made by Supplee Hardware Co. I have no idea how old it is or what kind of value is attached to it. all I can tell you is that it appears to have a plastic handle, and the blade says, "The Razor that fits your face."

The handle also has a sticker on it that reads:
    "NO 55H550
Round and honed for heavy beard
    very tender skin
    rounded end for nervous man"

Attached are two pictures, one of the razor and box and another of the box itself.

    Now THAT is funny!

Looks like it could be honed up and used; you're very lucky to have an heirloom razor! A lot of us wish we had that kind of tie to our forebears...

That's a Robeson. I'm guessing you got the name off the box?

We don't do valuations, but Robesons are nice shavers.

+1, the wording is the exact match to Robeson razors. These razors are real shavers and eager to do a good job of it. It's a good razor for getting into straight razor shaving with once properly honed. Oh, yea, we don't do valuations here but I can say you won't get rich off it. Get 'er honed and put it back in service. You and the razor will both be happy!

Supplee Hardware Co. was in business 1905-1920's. This hardware was at 503 Market Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were the outgrowth of LLoyd, Supplee & Walton. In the early 1920's, they became the Supplee-Biddle Hardware.
