What exactly is cell rot?
Is it just decay due to age? Alien spores from Planet Henkel? A fungus among us?
If it's not simple organic decay due to age, but a cellular "infection" of some kind, does it "migrate"?
My razors are stored close to each other. [Translation: They're pretty much piled next to each other in a corner of a drawer.] Can cell rot in one set of scales "migrate" to another?
Life's been going really well lately, I need something new to worry about. :)
Cell rot refers to Celluloid Rot...over time celluloid scales will break down and give off a gas that will deteriorate the blade. It won't really migrate to other scales..I don't think...but it can harm other blades in its vicinity. AFAIK the only way to stop it is to remove and destroy those scales.

One razor with cell. rot destroyed 2 of my razors. It is the corrosive gases emitted by the rotting celluloid that are the problem.
