Thanked: 39I started with Dovos. Really like my Dovo Bismark. Then I got a Hart Steel spike point. It's outstanding, in every way. And unlike some other spikes that I've tried, I've never nicked myself with it. The blade has just the right shape. A couple of days ago my new Revisor came in. I've only shaved with it once, and it was impressive. I'll have to shave with it a few more times to get a feel for it and see which razor will be my favorite, for now anyway.

Ya know, last night I paid more attention to proper stropping on my normal blade, and I managed to get a FANTASTIC shave from it. I really think I just had a bad stropping evening the other night. I'm definitely still VERY happy with my Dovo, and now I don't think it needs to be sharpened anymore!

I've got a Geneva Cutlery Pyramid (no number), a Torrey, TI carbon song (from TAOS) and Puma 80 (haven't had a shave with it yet. With a Clauss on the way. My current favorite is the Torrey, or maybe the Pyramid, but ask me tomorrow after I give the Puma a proper go...

As my experience (and Collection) have grown, I find it more and more difficult to point to one maker or brand.
I love 90% of the razors I have, and as I have become more and more adept at honing, the differences between different brands of razors has become one of the most fun parts of this sport.
Sheffields, Swedes, German, American, Customs, and Spanish razors. Too much to choose from. (hmm, no French razors in my collection?)
That said, for sentimental reasons, my first Filarmonica EPBD in blue scales will be given up only from my cold, dead handsBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Obviously! Then you have a spare in case one falls off a dresser or taps the sink, and a spare for when your first spare needs honed. Gotta have at least two spares. If you're living with kids or rowdy roommates then you'll need more; determined on an exponential curve according to the quantity and rowdiness of kids/roommates, moderated by financial resources and SWMBO. It gets a little technical.
