DHL?

I had gotten this razor some time ago and though it was good it wasn't great. However now that some time has passed and I have gotten a good thuringian hone and some more experience and talent it shaves like a dream. Has anyone ever heard of this brand? It looks like a hundred others but its a great shaver,also I tried to take a picture showing the tip of the blade,and was wondering if this is a singing razor,as when I finally got a really good edge it was making a humming noise along the stone,and that's when the edge came into its own

FWIW --

As I understand it, a "singing razor" always has a super-full-hollow grind, with a very thin blade.

Your razor doesn't fit that description -- it's more like 1/2-hollow or 3/4-hollow. That doesn't take anything away from its shaving prowess.

I'm not exactly sure what the traditional singing is, but the extra hollows I have used sing:
When you shave with them, as they cut each hair
As you strop them (very different from the edge down you're messing up noise)
On some hones
If you (gently) strike the spine - think tuning fork

I would call that razor half to quarter hollow.

:OT I hate to go off topic here but occasionally I do hear a noise when stropping, could you possibly elaborate here so I might figure this out if I'm doing something wrong?
