So, after rooting through many buckets of rusty, pitted, cracked, overpriced razors, I finally found a gem. A Dubl Duck Styledge. It's a LOT smaller than I'd normally go for, especially with the wire that grows out of my face, so I'm not sure if I'm going to sell it or just hang onto it. In any case, here it is, in what appears to me to be quite wonderful shape.
What do you guys think?

nice find. style edges come up every now and then on ebay but most are rusty. looks like you found one in good shape congrats.
dont you just love the scales? the dark translucent red is sexy.

Jamaica, NY makes me think of International Cutlery, who could have imported it. I believe those were made in the 50's/60's and were for use by stylists. Razors were used for shaving AND for styling in that era. Filarmonica made them as well! Some even had a comb built into the scales.
Every Edmund Roffler razor was made for stylists' use and deliver a fine shave. Razor cuts were the fad for men AND women in the day! They are almost always a quality shaver, as they were made for professional use, and shave superbly. That one looks like it may be used up, though. the edge looks rusted and the back side has lots of hone wear by the pics. Rub on it and see!
I don't think there's much hone wear, honestly. I think it was just the angle of the picture / lighting. As far as the edge, it's def not rust. I just haven't tried to polish it yet. I think a quick hone should take the gunk off of there.
Thats cool! The front side looked great. If the back is the same, You're in! I think you will find it very easy to hone up!
