Default Question about Dovo Gold Wash

For those of you who have spent a lot of "mirror time" with the gold wash Dovos (on the spine, tang, etc.), how durable do they seem to be? I'm wondering if it would wear off over time.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

In a word "Yes" all gold wash wears off that is if you are using the razor to shave

Thanks Glen and I certainly would be. I think I may just save up for a TI I've had my eye on.

A lot of new razors have at least some gold wash on them. Some just have the company logo in gold wash, others go farther and put gold wash on the entire spine. The question I ask myself when considering buying one of those razors is "Am I going to like the way the razor looks after the gold wash has worn off?"

I like what Skippy said. Get a razor that's attractive otherwise. The gold wash is sure to wear off, so make sure you like the razor for it's other qualities as well.

Personally...some gold wash I like to look at, others I can't stand. I do like most of what Dovo does though.
