My new Henckel Rapide, with a mystery.
Hey guys,
I just found this gorgeous wedge razor at my trusty antique barn. It's an old Henckels wedge razor "Rapide". I didn't know anyone apart from Rolls made these.
Anywho, this beauty came with a blue box with "J.A Henckels Twin Works Germany" written in side, a stropper, a blade and blade cover, plus the razor.
Now for the mystery. Does anyone know if there is a purpose for A: the bottom of the razor that spins. I know on butterfly DE's this opens the mechanism, but here it doesn't seem to.
and B: if the screw at the top of the razor has a specific purpose (such as holding the bar behind the blade in place?)
will set up pics when camera is working
