Razor Restoration ?
Hi all, new to the forum I have inherited a straight razor from my grandfather it was his fathers so the age of itwould be between 1919-1925 from what he remembers. What I would like to know is it restorable and useable ? The info on the razor is Hibbard, Spencer Bartlett & Co made in Germany 0 The blade measures 9/16 I have includer pictures.
Thanks in advance

Yes it is, on both counts... However this is an heirloom restore so now comes the choices :)
I would never ever recommend trying a restore on an irreplaceable razor like that until you have quite a bit of experience. On the flip side to have a pro restore that is only cost effective to you as an Heirloom, as the razor is a solid shaver but it is well used..
What I mean there is the cost of a full restoration outweighs the value of the razor, "Except" that it is an Heirloom so that makes it priceless to you... I hope that made some sense :D
