Yes, the above would work, but would not want to use acrylic. G10 is made with epoxy and would secure a confident bonding for a liner material.
For coloring use epoxy dye to keep a transparent color. Pigment will be opaque, diminishing the sparkle. CastinCraft makes epoxy dyes and pigments that work well for this. If it would look tacky, it depends on what you like.
I think if the material is attractive to you, it will look nice as long as perform a quality job. It really only maters that you like it. I think tackiness is present if the finish work hasnt been completed cleanly.
I have admired many custom razors in black carbon fiber. I havent seen any in holographic, but sounds interesting.
To say if it looks nice...ya gotta know that's a loaded question, lol. It's all in the hand of the beholder.
