nah, not my bag at all..
Fugly IMHO...
There is just a lot there. Looking at the scales, they are pretty darn thick towards the wedge. The workmanship seems alright, but personally I would not have used a nut/bolt for the pivot. I am not sure I would try shaving with it, as it looks a bit too bulky for me.
edit: I just looked through the seller's other items and they have this: Custom ebene and coccobola straight razor 6/8, see stor | eBay
which is funny because it is a West Point blade, in rifle scales.
Very nice!
Very cool and creative but when the blade is open, that thing couldn't be much uglier.
I'm not a big fan. I like keeping classic shapes and lines. I also ask myself what the functionality of that set of scales would be in my own shaving world and I see two words: Knicks and Cuts.
Balance plays a big part for me.
Yeah, but what balances a razor better than the silhouette of a scimitar? I mean, seriously.
those are pretty gaudy imo
i have thought of this before, a scale designed on a sword, this is the first i have seen it though, though when i thought of it, it was based on the blade of the scimtar, without a handle, maybe i will try it sometime
