+1 to that. I have the blocks on engines I've rebuilt magnafluxed to make sure that it's worth rebuilding. If the block is cracked there's no sense dropping a grand or more into a rebuild.
Regarding the razors, then as now magnetism has been associated with all kinds of wonders from hair growth to cancer fighting. Want to feel better? Wear a magnetic bracelet. Stress in your neck? Rub magnetic plates over it. Want a better shave? Use a magnetic razor to literally lift the minerals in your hair! (I don't know if that's how they marketed the razors in specific, but I have seen the others specifically marketing magnetic objects as remedies.)
I doubt they do anything for the shaving, but I'm sure it was claimed at the time. Otherwise why take the time to do it?
Well as soon as i get this bad boy honed up i will report on if i notice anything about the magnetic shaving qualities lol
