Found this Boker at an Antique Mall on Thursday. The spine is marked "H. Boker and Co." on the front - there is also what could be a stylized antler logo - and "Germany" on the back. It has nice spine work, and the scales are "carved". I'm interested in any info on age, scale material, possible historical significance, and any other info any of you can provide. Thanks, members.
That's a boker 1056. I have two of them and they are awesome. This razor is what started my rad.
Yours looks to be in pretty good shape.
I hope the pictures are there because you bought it. If you did not buy it, you should go back for it. Personally, I would not have been able to leave it. Very nice find in the wild.
Oh yes - it is now in my collection! I'm not sure how much polishing I'm going to do on it - this one might be a candidate for "less is more". I did use a bit of liquid polish on it before I photographed it.

Looking at jcsixx's photos, it looks like the tip of my blade has been reground. I was wondering about that - the spine work looked like it was chopped off at the tip of the blade.
It has definitely been shortened as I think that blade usually has a barber's notch and spanish style point. Should still make a fine shaver though.
It is the one Boker that I want to own for my personal collection. I've actually owned the razor before, but the scales weren't original (yours are) and eventually sold it. Some day I'll get an all original one. Nice score regardless!
Any ideas on age? If I read the "tree" trademark info in the other forum correctly, it may be early 1900's.
Looks like you figured it out. It's not an antler logo, it's a tree. Boker's still up and running and you can read company history on their website; just google it.
No ideas on the age, but if you decide you don't like it, I'll "recycle" it for you.

I rebuilt that truck with my dad and granddad (along with the help of friends/cousins/etc.) when I was in high school. I'll be holding on to it as long as the Lord lets me.

Wow! What a great story your truck tells - to build with your Dad and Granddad is about as good as it gets. Back to the 50's is at St Paul Fairgrounds this Friday, Sat and Sun - 11,000 + streetrods.
